Bobwhite Quail Hatching
What is the best time of year to release bobwhites, mountain quail, and california quail?
My family is interested in raising the above birds and then releasing them at our cabin(all of which are native to the area). We would like to know their hatching dates and when is it the best time to release them.
Make sure that they are indeed native to the area. I think that spring would be better to hatch and release them – this is when a lot of chicks of all bird species are hatched – to give them time to feed and grow in their environment before winter sets in.
