Backhoes are used in a wide variety of occupations. They are used in the farm industry, construction, by contractors, and even by private home owners who like to perform their own landscaping. What gives them such versatility is the fact that there are several different tractor backhoe attachments that you can attach to them that allow them to perform different jobs. Interestingly enough however, it is amazing how many people today aren’t aware of the many jobs these tools are capable of tackling. This article will discuss a few of the more popular parts and attachments that you can use with your tractor loader backhoe.
The first of the many different tractor backhoe attachments that this article will discuss is the bucket. Buckets come in many different shapes and sizes and are pretty much standard equipment. They come in a wide range of sizes from a small bucket, usually about 12 inches, to the largest that is about 60 inches wide. You would rarely need a bucket that large however, they are mainly used for digging trenches.
Next there is the tiltrotator which is a very common attachment for the tractor loader backhoe. Instead of allowing the machine to perform a new function, it provides you with a greater range of motion. It allows it to rotate a full 360 degrees and allows for 40 degree tilting motions. Ultimately, choosing this add-on will provide you with more precision and allow you to better control your machine.
The augur is one of the more effective tractor backhoe attachments because it allows you to drill holes. This can be used for making fences, signs, and even for planting trees. There is also the grain augur which is a bit different. It allows you to move grain from trucks to bins where they may be stored.
The ditch cleaning bucket, just as the name implies, is used for digging and cleaning ditches. It allows you to grade and cut slopes very precisely and with little effort.
One of the tractor backhoe attachments that is excellent for those in the road repair business is the asphalt cutter. Sometimes it is necessary to get underneath cement in order to repair or check up on sewer lines or gas lines, and this is the perfect tool for doing it. When you have this tool road repair is quick and easy.
The hoe ram may be one of the most useful tractor backhoe attachments. It is like a large jackhammer that you can connect directly to your backhoe in order to perform certain demolition jobs when you need to break through rock. This is only a small example of the many different tractor backhoe attachments that are available. There are even attachments that make switching out buckets and attachments easy such as the pin lock coupler.
